Kitchen Makeover in 31 Days: Saturday Morning Recap

The first seven days of my Kitchen Makeover in 31 Days series is in the books, and I’m recapping the work that was done or in this case, not done.

Starting October 1st hundreds of writers will accept the challenge to write every day for the entire month. I hope you join me for my Kitchen Makeover in 31 Days.

Wow, is the first word that came to mind this morning as I took the time to look back at all the many, many, words I wrote here this week.

I’m going to be completely honest with you and say it wasn’t easy writing every day. Not complaining, just keeping it real with you.

So here’s a brief overview of what you can expect to find here for the remainder of October.

  • No writing on Sundays
  • Monday through Thursday: projects and progress updates
  • Fridays: Inspirational Kitchens
  • Saturdays: Brief recap of the week

If you’ve reached this sentence and had no clue what all this write 31 days and kitchen makeover is about, hang on; you can scroll to the bottom of this post to find links to the previous posts.

The rest of this series I plan on being very judicial with the words because I’m the one doing the actual work in this kitchen. ย Don’t be surprised if you drop by here and there’s a photo of cabinet doors and drawers being cleaned or sanded with about five sentences written.

Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but you know what I mean right?

Here’s a photo to recap what was I accomplished this week. Or in this case, my lack of accomplishment.

It looks exactly like it did when I took this shot on Monday.

I will be working like a fiend this week. ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I'm sharing my design inspiration and project to do list for Day 4 of my 31 day kitchen makeover series.

In fact, as soon as I publish this, I have a date with a bottle of ammonia to clean cabinet doors and drawers.

I’ll see you back here Monday for coffee.

Your sister in paint and cabinet prep,

  1. Kim says:

Writing every day is hard, especially when you have a house full of people to take care of and a kitchen renovation going on! Your new plan sounds great!

  2. Susanne says:

Sometimes you have to make time for yourself and have a little down time, I am learning that with this living room makeover. Tonight I am finishing sewing on a patch for my hubby’s coat, catching up on our shows, catching up on what all my friends have been doing while I have been so engrossed with all things makeover, and sitting with my dog. ๐Ÿ™‚
