My 30 Day Office Makeover

You know those creative people who function well in a messy environment? I’m NOT one of them. Join me as I tackle a 30ish day office makeover.

I decided a couple of days ago that I couldn't wait another month before tackling an office makeover! I'm putting all the things on hold until I finish this room.

Office Makeover Again

Yes, you read that correctly. This will be my second office makeover attempt.

Wait, it may be the third attempt, and if that’s the case, you know what they say, the third time’s a charm!

So here I am 4 days into 2018, and I’ve already scrapped what I had planned to work on for this month because I cannot function in this room any longer.

Every time I set foot in here, I can literally feel my creativity being sucked down a long dark drain. (slightly over dramatic)

I stumbled on to a creative space organization challenge hosted by Debbie of Refresh Restyle, and I decided to jump in and stop the procrastinating.

The Must Do List

Here’s a short list of what I hope will accomplish by February 3.

  1. paint desk and chair (probably a combination of white with wood grain)
  2. remove all Christmas bins
  3. shop my house for creative storage solutions and purchase items as necessary
  4. style those built-in shelves that have been the bane of my existence for nine years.

Honestly, it’s not a bad little office; it just needs a little love to make it sing. 🙂

Who Wants To Join In?

You go girl! I’m at work in my office/sewing room these first days of January! Working on both sides of the room, each on alternate days. Clutter just seemed to explode in there over the last few months. Like you, I was having a hard time just walking into the room, much less getting anything done. I’ve made great headway already, and have been shopping my home for storage ideas too! Soon I’ll be sewing again!
